Found the following interesting discussion in the Newsgroups:

Spam filter

Does anyone know where i can find a spam filter algorithm in .Net? It
doesn't have to be complicated.

The first thing is to see if the message is crossposted. If it is, its either
spam or very poor form on behalf of the poster.
